Rodney & Shelley Kirby
Pastor & Director of Family and Community Outreach
Pastor Rodney and his wife Shelley are natives of the Trinity Area and attended local primary schools and both graduated from Trinity High School. Rodney received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps after 4 years of service and Shelley graduated from Appalachian State University. After being called into the ministry, Rodney attended Seminary in Winston Salem, NC. Rodney and Shelley were married in October of 1995 and they have 2 children, Luke and Rachel. Rodney works at Trinity High School in the distance learning lab and also coaches the volleyball and golf teams. Shelley is a social worker for Hospice of the Piedmont. "Shelley and I feel very blessed to be given this opportunity to serve Archdale Friends Meeting. We know that God has a plan for AFM and we are very excited to see what God is going to do within Archdale Friends"-Rodney Kirby
Linda Millikan
Secretary
As the secretary of Archdale Friends Meeting, I enjoy communicating with our congregation and community about the ministries that are offered here at our Meetinghouse. I am married and have three adult. I enjoy keeping up with my busy family, cooking and participating in various activities here at Archdale. God has richly blessed my life and I am thankful.
Marlene Welborn
Bookkeeper
I enjoy my work here for Archdale Friends Meeting and Archdale Friends School. I have lived in this area all my life, am married and have one grown son. I love my church (First Baptist Church), spending time with family and my large extended family. I enjoy baking pound cakes to share with friends and neighbors, writing, quilting and sewing as time permits.
Charlene Sullivan
Music Director
Charlene is a graduate of Oral Roberts University, and has her Master of Church Music degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is married to Rick Sullivan, and they have 7 grown children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 step-grandchildren. Charlene has served in the capacity of music director at Archdale Friends for over 25 years, and also enjoys accompanying the choir and congregation. Her ministry includes leading the choir, planning music for services, leading a handbell group for special occasions, and preparing special musical events including a Christmas and Easter cantata, hymn sings, and bluegrass Sunday's. Charlene is grateful for the fellowship she feels at Archdale Friends, for the beautiful friendship she has with the choir, and the wonderful pool of talent she has to work with. Her "hobby" is playing the piano (lol!), and she also enjoys teaching at the Fine Arts Studio at Wesleyan Christian Academy.
Samantha Sprinkle
Livestream Production Manager
Born and raised in Chicago, I moved down to North Carolina for college and never left. After college, I join the Peace Corps and found my passion: working with at-risk youth and helping provide equity resources to those in need. I started attended Archdale Friends in 2015. During the pandemic years, I begin working with the ministerial team to get the message out to all the members and community.
